If turned on, each record in the database is password-protected from unauthorized access and updates. Webmaster can search, read and update all records using a supervisor password. Optional referrer checking to ensure only the authorized websites (domain names) can access your database. All database fields are searchable. Both simple keywords search and multiple fields complex search (using "AND" operator) are supported. You can even perform range search based on any numeric fields. It is simple to construct a series of URL links (one per category) to request the search engine to display records of the given category. Our software supports multi-screen search reports. You can tell the software how many items are to be displayed on each screen of the search report. Items in the search report can be displayed under alternate background colors. With some software changes (note: at additional cost, please contact us first), searched listings can be displayed on a "n x m" table (containing "m" columns) on the summary report. Both the value of "n" and "m" can be configurable. If you have long database fields which are not required to be searchable, we can also help you to store them outside the search file. This will help you to speed up the search response time and to store more records on the search file. Empty database field(s) (including the block of Html codes used to handle the associated fields) can be suppressed from displaying on the search report. This removes broken links when such empty fields (eg. image, URL and e-mail fields) are referenced. Our software also supports multiple databases each with its own field definitions. If you are using them for the same website (same domain name), you don't need to order a separate licence. All you need to do is to create multiple sets of database templates. The search engine of this software can sort the search result in ascending or decending order based on any single database field selected by your user or specified by the Webmaster. Recently submitted records can be flagged as "NEW" on the search report. Through a "Display New Records" URL, you can have the software to display all new records (submitted within the past xx days) on the screen. You can ask the software to "exclude" a particular category of records when searching the database. You (or your Webmaster) can attach predefined Html codes (such as the advertising codes) to each database record. These Html codes will be displayed on the search report along with the database records. The Webmaster can delete any given record or a group of records via a "Batch Delete" Web interface. Our software supports "GET" and "POST" CGI call methods. The "Post" method is suitable for FORM processing.
